The 2016 Korean blockbuster movie “Train to Busan” is brought to life beyond the cinematic screens at Resorts World Genting for fans to experience the thrilling adventure in the movie. Just in time for Halloween, this first-of-its-kind horror house officially opens on 31 October 2019.
Unlike the movie, visitors won’t be only trapped by zombies on the train. The Horror House is interestingly set in the 48 hours that ensue after the finale of “Train to Busan”.
Picking up hints left by the director in the movie, the Horror House is created using over 50 concepts; live actors, digital and virtual reality technology and immersive soundscapes are employed to expand the dramatic plotline.
What To Expect in the Horror House
Passengers will have to buy a train ticket at a busy, neon-lit street of Seoul. Afterwards, one will enter the ravaged train station filled with wrecked trains, survivors, and blood-thirsty zombies.
The path leads through two Horror Houses, first from the retail shops of ruined Daejeong Train Station and the second in the abandoned train.
The final journey ends at the Base Camp where visitors can engage in action-packed VR shooting game activities–either as a survivor or zombie. Are you ready to defend the Busan quarantine zone?
Tickets to Board
Tickets to the Horror House is priced at RM90 for regular admission (RM80 for Genting Rewards Club members). A combo Horror House single admission and Skytropolis Preview Pass is available at RM128.
Train to Busan Horror House will run from 31 October 2019 till 1 January 2020.
