The 15th edition of International Trade Expo, Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC) welcomed a sea of visitors, exhibitors and trade partners in its landmark show in the span of 3 days from 5 till 7 September 2019.

The show with humble beginnings support domestic tourism companies in meeting the needs of international visitors in 2005 has now connected over 350 exhibitors and 35,000 trade and public visitors on both domestic and foreign tourism markets.

The opening ceremony is held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre (SECC) on 5 September 2019

Themed “Travel Gateway to Asia”, this year’s event is colourfully endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism of 5 countries: Myanmar Cambodia, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.

A new exhibition area, the Tourism Start-Up Pavilion, offered a variety of new tourism products and tourism technology to support travel start-up companies.

These include better security for travellers and their transactions, better payment models for businesses and consumers, automation in hotels and resorts, as well as personalisation of the travel and hospitality experience.

The event also introduced new Vietnamese airlines such as Bamboo Airways and Vinpearl Air. Besides that, the upcoming opening of VinAviation School and Vinpearl Air Training Centre, is set to bring about a surge in tourist figures and the development of a skilled aviation workforce. 

Notably, hosted buyers and visitors are able to attend a series of insightful seminars helmed by experienced industry insiders. The seminars and forum cover travel topics such as Medical Tourism, The Rise of the Solo Traveler, Smart Tourism Development in Ho Chi Minh City and more.

ITE HCMC is organised by Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, Vietnam Trade Fair & Advertising Joint Stock (VINEXAD), and Informa Markets.
