Beers pairs extremely well with fried chickens and taste even better on rainy days. So how about enhancing your taste buds with foods infused with beer (and ciders!) and sample each bite with beers for double the goodness?

In conjunction with Worldchefs Congress & Expo 2018, the beer giant-Heineken Malaysia-celebrates the diversity of beers and foods by curating a special food pairing menu, as well as beer and cider-infused recipes to the public. Check out these unique beer-infused foods from the partnering outlets around Kuala Lumpur:

Scottbluff Smoked Veal Wild Boar with Strongbow Honey BBQ

It’s definitely a mouthful! This meat delight is prepared using a combination of Heineken’s Guinness Foreign Extra Stout, Strongbow Gold and Apple Fox for a delicious smoked flavour that lingers with the robust taste of beer.

Lager, stout and cider contain enzymes that can break muscle fiber so marinating the meat with beers helps to improve the meat texture.

Find this at Rockaway Grill + Bar, Jalan Changkat Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur

Pan Fried Salmon with Paulandaise Sauce

Only available upon order, this pan fried salmon is cooked with Paulandaise sauce to be eaten alongside with Paulaner Hefe Weissbier, the world’s number 1 wheat beer. The yeasty flavour of the beer is best to go with simple flavoured food so the fried crispy salmon adds a rich aftertaste to the wheat beer.

Order it in Rock Bottom Kitchen + Bar, Jalan Telawi 2, Bangsar Baru, Kuala Lumpur

Mutton Floss Mantao & Goan Beef Cutlet

Yes, this is possible. Chinese steamed bun is always eaten with a cup of hot Chinese tea but trading it with Heineken will make all the difference that you never existed. The slow cooked spiced mutton is infused with Heineken and garnished with fried shallots and coriander before it is stuffed in the soft Chinese bun.

On the other hand, Goan Beef Cutlet is a savoury ready to be your next beer bestfriend aside from fried chicken. The beef is minced in Goan style (fusion of Indian and Portugese cooking), deep-fried and served with roasted chilli tomato dip. Pair this perfectly with a glass of Guinness.

Taste it both at Goa by Hubba, Ascott Kuala Lumpur.

Milk Chocolate Guinness Ice Cream

A lesser-known combo, ice cream and tipples are actually a match made in heaven. For an alcoholic and sweet-tooth indulgence, The Ice Cream Bar added Guinness Foreign Extra Stout to their milky chocolate ice cream, topping it off with brownies and Cacao nibs from The Chocolate Concierge (a Malaysian Artisanal Chocolatier).

Find it at The Ice Cream Bar, Jalan 27/70a, Desa Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur
